Job Objectives

Installs, services, and repairs electrical equipment at customer sites using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools following layout drawings and manufacturer’s instructions, and utilizing electrical knowledge. Good communication skills and positive attitude. Conveyor and/or material handling experience preferred.

Position Responsibilities

This position requires 100% travel

Performs electrical functions related to conveyor installation under the direction of a lead or supervisor. Adhering to all safety procedures and policies.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and work at heights up to 40ft.

Ability to stand or walk on concrete or steel grating for an entire shift. Willing to work continuous 58-hour work week.

Advanced conduit bending skills, including knowledge of formulas, and benders.

Basic device termination skills, including an understanding of controls and their function.

Basic wire pulling skills. Able to mount devices from layout drawing.

Repairs or replaces worn or defective equipment/machinery.

Modifies previously installed equipment/machinery to ensure compatibility with new units.

Conducts investigative tests, repairs, and rework of existing equipment.

Should possess basic electrical troubleshooting skills.

Basic knowledge of electrical theory and NEC preferred.

Supply own electrical hand tools per provided list below. Ability to operate power tools that will be supplied.

Applies mastery of skills as appropriate to area of specialization.

Demonstrates proven knowledge with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within electrical trade.

Documents all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures.

Maintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Desire to advance electrical trade skills.

  • This position requires 100% travel

Jeans/work pants

No skirts or shorts

No overly loose or tight garments

Long hair tied up at all times while onsite
