The Enterprise Services Compute and Connectivity Platform Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over 900 locations across 65 plus countries. The CCP Managed Sr Database Administrator (MSSQL) will be responsible for the 7X24 support of enterprise shared and core infrastructure services. You will ensure operational support and stability in the new cross vendor/platform integrated technologies. This will include the cross-platform support and delivery of Database Services including cloud and virtualization. You will also provide technical oversight of any critical outages that occur between multiple providers, our business customers and OneIT. You will assist in the design and build of future Databases Services infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the US MSSQL Team and responsible for resolving all Incidents, executing Change tickets.

  • Must have Operation Knowledge and experience in handling Severity issues in the Operation Call with coordinating with Multiple teams

  • Operational support on a rotational basis of > 25,000 MS SQL Databases which resides in Honeywell Internal Cloud and Other cloud platforms like AWS, Azure etc.

  • Monitor Database and Server performance and capacity planning.

  • Software installation, configuration, patching and upgrades

  • Resolve configuration issues with database and Application tools.

  • Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models and perform when it is required.

  • Performance monitoring and tuning of the databases.

  • Accountable for technology roadmaps related to MSSQL Databases, automation and cloud adoption

  • Assist and support the development and presentation for solutions which may include providing technical updates, documentation, demonstrations and executive presentations

  • Participate in special projects and work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and our service offerings

  • On-call responsibility in support of 365x7x24 coverage

  • Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues

  • Accountable for technology roadmaps related to MSSQL Databases, automation and cloud adoption

  • Assist and support the development and presentation for solutions which may include providing technical updates, documentation, demonstrations and executive presentations

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of solid hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of database technology such as SQL, MySQL.

  • Must have a minimum 8 years of solid experience of Database Tuning

  • Must have a minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Database Platform including Governance Integration, Security and Operations

  • Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support

  • DevOps experience is a plus
