Honeywell IT Systems Analyst (Payroll) in Tempe, Arizona

Understand North America payroll and have experience on handling functional support of NA payroll in PeopleSoft. Responsible for coordinating with multiple teams on application analysis, design, development, integration and enhancement. Daily responsibilities include working on multiple, concurrent projects and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with HRS customers and/or suppliers in order to provide solutions to meet user needs

  • Identify system requirements, develop functional specifications, lead conversion and migration efforts, and develop convergence plans toward standards

  • Work with the HRS customers, PeopleSoft functional teams and the PeopleSoft technical team to coordinate the release of new functionality through PeopleSoft governance

  • Analyze the impact of PS changes on downstream systems and ensure they are tested prior to making any PeopleSoft changes

  • Participate in testing PeopleSoft changes

  • Ensure Honeywell SEI-CMM standards are applied throughout the project life-cycle including project schedules, requirements and design specifications

  • Utilize Six Sigma methodology and tools to drive process improvement

  • Proactively analyzes PeopleSoft Payroll application to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements

  • Interface with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process. Reviews modules for quality assurance, ensures compliance with application architecture

  • standards and oversees unit testing to ensure applications meet specifications

  • Effectively Communicate the project status, issues, risks in a timely manner to various stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

  • Learn new modules quickly apart from areas of expertise and scale up to the needs of business

  • Provide guidance and recommendations on how to best leverage the latest technology and processes across the enterprise

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other technical/IT degree

  • At least 7 years of PeopleSoft techno-functional consulting experience in PeopleSoft North America Payroll module

  • 2+ years of PS Queries and SQL (ability to develop, modify, and troubleshoot queries)

WE VALUE

  • Experience with the PeopleSoft development including Peoplecode, SQR, Application Engine, and COBOL SQL (preferred), XML Publisher, Query Manager, Fluid, Component Interface

  • Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other technical/IT degree

  • Experience working in a matrix organization and ability to coordinate action from groups outside of direct reporting lines to resolve issues

  • Ability to proactively identify issues and drive resolution

  • Ability to translate raw data into meaningful information

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

  • Ability to use analytics and data to make informed decisions
