The Enterprise Services Compute and Connectivity Platform Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over 900 locations across 65 plus countries. We work with the latest and emerging technologies to deliver scalable, high performing, always available infrastructure services around the world. We deliver services that connect, host, virtualize, store, collaborate, integrate, compute and transact business solutions that utilizes cloud first, automation, analytics, “as a Service”, BIG data and software defined.

The CCP IT Infrastructure Virtualization will be primarily responsible for architecture and principle engineering for Honeywell’s virtualization and cloud environments. This job is part of the Enterprise Compute Infrastructure team and includes architecting future state virtualization solutions including on-premise private cloud, integration with public cloud solutions and automated operations. This role also includes engineering activities in support of day to day management of Hypervisors (VMWare) and Operating Systems (Linux and Windows). This person is also responsible for making improvements to the existing systems to operate them in an optimized manner and or to improve the reliability and availability. Additionally, responsible for participating in Disaster Recovery exercises on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversite to Honeywell IT in Hyperconverged platform optimization, monitoring and lifecycle management

  • Develop automation opportunities in the Virtualization and Hyperconverged compute space

  • Accountable for technology roadmaps related to virtualization technologies, APIs, automation and cloud adoption

  • Work with Hyper Converged Infrastructure technology platforms like Nutanix, Dell VXRail, Dell VRTX, Dell Flex OS to create the strategy/direction for enterprise infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot performance issues related to virtualized workloads

  • Facilitate moving of workloads to/from on-prem cloud to off-prem cloud

  • Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues



  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business-Related Discipline

  • Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in Information Technology, Engineering, or Functional areas

  • Minimum of 5 years of Operating Systems and or Hypervisor administration, architecture experience


  • VMWare experience

  • Linux OS experience

  • Window OS experience

  • Capacity planning, performance optimization experience

  • Experience with supporting mission critical infrastructure operations

  • Storage management experience

  • Strong understanding of Networking concept

  • Experience with Installation, Racking & Stacking of Hardware

  • Experience with ServiceNow or another similar formal Service Management platform and/or methodology

  • Leadership communication and executive presence

  • Strong influencing, program and change management skills

  • Strong business acumen and customer focus

  • Creation of resulted-oriented Management Operating System

  • Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision

  • Creative and collaborative problem-solving capability

  • Experience with data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery options, configuration and execution

  • Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and teaming
