Honeywell has a Summer (3-months) Research and Development Internship opportunity available, in Plymouth, Minnesota and Redmond, Washington. The Honeywell Advanced Technology (AT) organization's charter is to develop new technologies in a range of technology areas. AT offers excellent opportunities to do multi-disciplinary research. The position described here is within the Platform Systems group within AT, in its Plymouth, MN location. Projects in the group range from basic research to applied technology insertions in Honeywell Aerospace products, services, and solutions. The successful candidate will be a professional with background in software modeling, analysis, design and development, software verification/validation techniques, software lifecycles and applications.

strong skills relevant to software modeling, design and analysis and software lifecycle;
excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The successful candidate may be called upon to perform all aspects of software lifecycle workflows, including:
user requirements analyses such as functional, structural and performance;
software system modeling, analysis, testing, verification and validation;
prototype software design and development.
Key responsibilities include:
concept development, software design and implementation;
reporting/presenting analyses and conducting demonstrations.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Must be currently enrolled in a Masters program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, at an accredited college or university
- Completed coursework with emphasis in Software Engineering or related areas.
- Ability and willing to commit to a 3-month intern program on site.
- Knowledge or experience with Integrated Development Environments, Language Engineering Tools and Programming/Modeling Environments (e.g. Eclipse, ANTLR, XText, Java/XTend, Sirius)
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.
- Familiarity with System Engineering concepts, tools and techniques (e.g. AADL).
- Note: This position does not seek software skills in the Information Technology realm, but rather in software and systems with applications in Aerospace.
