Join our newly formed Honeywell Robotics team and embark on an exciting journey to design novel Robots and Robotics Systems for deployment in Warehouse and Logistics sectors around the world.
In this role, you will architect, design, develop and test Industrial Robots virtually and in the real world. Our goal is to develop robotic solutions that address some of the most challenging problems in Logistics. We also want you to help enable our engineering teams to create and develop workable Honeywell solutions for the Warehousing, Fulfillment and Distribution Center environments that demonstrate clear business value.
To accomplish this objective, you will be concepting, prototyping and developing electromechanical robotic solutions to address some of the biggest challenges in logistics.
As a mechatronics engineer you will have the responsibly of a mechanical engineer with a strong background in integrating electronics, sensors and actuators into robotic solutions. You will research, evaluate and integrate industry leading sensors, actuators and robotics hardware.
You will have access to industry leading tools, software and resources to support and address the challenges in designing products capable of handling the dynamic and complex interactions seen in logistic robotics.

Strong communication skills both oral and written at technical and management level are key to success. Ability to communicate with customers to understand and document the simulation requirements; then plan, develop and deliver simulation tools are required.
Skill and ability to: collect, curate, organize, synthesize and/or analyze data to summarize findings and develop conclusions and evidence-based recommendations.
Design mechatronics systems and components for robotic solutions
Create mechanical models such as robotic end of arm tooling to simulate mechatronic design concepts
Create electro-mechanical design documents for parts, assemblies, or finished products.
Design advanced electronic control systems for mechanical systems.
Integrate industrial robotics into system design
Research, select, or apply sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication.
Design, develop, or implement control circuits or algorithms for electromechanical or pneumatic devices or systems.
Conduct studies to determine the feasibility, costs, or performance benefits of mechatronic equipment.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering Experience
2 - 3+ years experience in building robotic and/or automated systems
Experience creating CAD/3D modeling software (SolidWorks, AutoDesk Inventor, CATIA or similar)
Industrial Controls and Software experience (Industrial controllers/PLCs, Industrial networking)
Industrial Robotics Design Experience (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, Others..) is a plus
Wide breadth of knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.

Experience developing in C, C++ and Python.
