Honeywell’s Federal Manufacturing & Technologies business manages the U. S. Department of Energy’s Kansas City National Security Campus in Missouri and New Mexico, manufacturing sophisticated mechanical, electronic and engineered-material components for our nation's defense system. You are a key technical focal point across Honeywell engineering teams crafting solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will conceptualize, design and develop products and systems, working both independently and as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, we influence electrical design directions and methodology developments. You will use advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results. Your contributions will influence the evolution of work processes and standards to ensure outstanding product quality, process designs and new levels of productivity. You will be trusted to foster innovation and efficiency every single day and on every project.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an ABET accredited program/school.

  • U.S. Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US Dept of Energy "Q" Level security clearance.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in industry.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in Pulsed Power Systems including High Power Switching, Pulse Forming Networks, AC/DC and DC/DC Power Conversion, Analog Circuit Design, Magnetics, and/or High Voltage Design (kV to MV).

  • Two (2) or more years' experience with engineering tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electric and magnetic field probes, etc.

We Value:

  • MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with emphasis in High Power Electromagnetic Fields.

  • Four (4) or more years' experience in testing, data acquisition, and data analytics.

  • Four (4) or more years' experience with engineering software including, but not limited to: Multiphysics simulation software (COMSOL, CST, etc.), circuit simulation software (P-Spice, LTSpice, Ansoft etc.), and data processing software (MATLAB, Python Scripting, etc.)

  • Experience with prime power drivers (i.e. 480VAC three-phase power driven systems).

  • Experience with electromagnetic pulse (EMP) phenomena and/or EMI/EMC testing capabilities.

  • Capability to advise engineers and train technician staff on concepts related to crafting and testing high power, pulsed power systems.

  • Familiarity with US Government Agencies and their Prime Contractors.

  • Current DOE Q or DOD TS clearance.

  • A phenomenal teammate, receptive to ideas from others, able to share information and keep team members and partners informed.

  • A capable, independent contributor, who also works effectively with others, including people of various technical backgrounds, to identify and resolve issues.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to interact successfully with a diverse team.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and delivering complex functional product.
