Working closely with HSE, the Medical Director is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of Honeywell FM&T occupational medical programs and serves as the Site Occupational Medical Director and Designated Physician. Performs physical examinations to evaluate fitness for duty, periodic medical surveillance, and evaluation and management of work-related illnesses and injuries
Provides direction and oversight of Medical Care Services in accordance with medical, DOE/NNSA, and contract requirements
Conducts exams in accordance with established CFR regulations (10 CFR 1046, 10 CFR 850, and 10 CFR 712). Render medical determination of fitness for duty pursuant to pertinent CFRs, essential job functions and clinical best practices.
Direct supervision of clinical staff with managerial responsibilities including interview, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning and directing work; providing performance appraisal; and guidance in the development of clinical staff
Provides clinical oversight of the Drug and Alcohol testing program, medical surveillance programs and workers compensation injury care management. Reviews and interprets laboratory results
Examination, treatment and case management of occupational illnesses or injuries of FM&T employees
Provides oversight of clinical documentation and management of medical records with respect to FM&T employees to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards
Collaborates with the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) and Human Resources departments to provide support of FM&T goals and objectives
Provide emergency medical care for persons (employees, visitors and other onsite personnel) when circumstances warrant
You Must Have:
U.S. Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US Government security clearance.
Minimum of ten years of experience as a physician.
Board certification or eligibility in Occupational Medicine
MD or DO License in the state of Missouri
Qualified physician in good standing
Prior experience overseeing staff.
Familiarity with government compliance and/or contracts.
Ability to interact across all levels of a diverse organization.
