We currently have an opening for a Quality Engineer at our facility in Fairfield, OH. This dynamic position is a key member of our Site Team and will be responsible for Quality Engineering and Continuous Improvement activities relating to external customers and internal processes. The following is a list of specific duties which are considered to be essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all our positions at the company are dynamic. This is consistent with our need to be flexible and responsive to the needs of our customers.


Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both Honeywell quality assurance standards and customer expectations.

Design, implement, evaluate, and revise, technical quality assurance protocols/methods for the inspecting and testing production equipment, and finished products.

Performs analysis of reports and production data and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials, and implements corrective actions when necessary.

Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.

Works directly with customers, Customer Service & Sales to support product/process evaluations, audits, and compliance to customer-specific requirements.

Performs internal audits of processes and functions to assure continued compliance to standards and requirements.

Analyze process capability data and other quality metrics to ensure that processes meet PPM expectations.

Lead root-cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations with diverse groups to address customer complaints, internal non-conformances, audit observations and document these conclusions.

Supports QA functions in processing RMAs, First Article Inspections, MRB Reviews and Source Inspections.

Provide technical leadership to coordinate implementation of quality processes including statistically based variation reduction, control planning, mistake proofing, and Manufacturing Process Control. Lead problem identification/solving and continuous improvement activities in the productive process with all involved areas of the site.


  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or closely related field with a minimum of 3 years of quality experience or an associates degree with 5 years of quality experience, or a minimum of 8 years of professional quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years of Quality, Manufacturing, Process or continuous improvement engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in office environment (Outlook e-mail, Word, Excel, Access) is essential for success, especially Excel or Access data-mining and report generation, including Pivot charts & tables.

  • Ability to be Green Belt certified (After Hire).


  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and internal auditing

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team, and be proficient in interpreting and applying established standards.

  • Dedication to achieving results through and with others with a strong commitment to task.

  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to change, perform multiple tasks and work in an ambiguous environment with minimal oversight.

  • Effective technical knowledge, strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency of written and oral communication skills at all levels of the organization.

  • Trained/certified in Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing techniques.

  • Certified Quality Engineer by American Society for Quality (ASQ).

  • Expert in quality management tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.

  • Familiarity with Quality Systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.), Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Process Control, Six Sigma.
