This position is for a Senior Project Engineer (PE) in the Aircraft team of the Sensing Guidance and Navigation (SGN) Center of Excellence (COE). In this role you will work with multi-discipline development teams, responsible for the following:
Schedule and Milestone development and management
Estimation development and analysis
Risk/Opportunity development and management
Leading and managing proposal activities
Coordinating and leading internal and customer meetings, telecoms and action registers
Monitoring and helping project team members to meet commitments
Committed to meeting delivery objectives and customer expectations
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related discipline
2+ years engineering development experience
6+ years total engineering development and/or project management experience
Demonstrated project management experience with ability to lead projects of varying scope and complexity
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to create and sustain an environment that promotes good communications
Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
Demonstrated organization skills
Experience in baseline management and negotiating/coordinating scope changes.
Experience in generating basis of estimates (BOE)
Experience in leading proposals
Experience evaluating earned value results and devising corrective action to return program to cost and schedule baseline
Ability to manage conflicts and drive towards win-win solutions
Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254, or similar design assurance guidelines
Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a challenging and fast-paced environment
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
Experience in Aerospace engineering or a base in the field of guidance and navigation
